Ross: Got a simple solution. That is to put all those costs in the DPW line assuming they were covered. Then this will provide a total figure to compare and make our decisions. Dave

Hi, Dave,
Thanks for your note. I did attempt to account for the Town Highway Budget -- both the DA or Townwide Highway Budget, and the DB or Town-Outside-Village Highway Budget -- in my 11-6 Expenditures and Revenue spreadsheets, but am not sure that DA and DB expenditures are shown there yet.
I understand you're trying to prepare a sheet comparing the Town 2013 budget with the info on my 11-6 spreadsheet in order to estimate a 2015 Town budget and a 2015 Village budget, if the governments do not merge. When you speak of adding into the Town figures the amount raised for Fire Protection, I assume you, again, mean if no merger occurs.
As to revenues, they are shown in my 11-6 Revenues spreadsheet are in a single line item called "Town Highway DA & DB Fund," which showed a combined 2011 actual revenue of $1,245,690.00.
You are right that my 11-6 Expenditures spreadsheet did not include the Town Budget items you ask about in the expenditure category "DPW." Sally Rhoads gave me a list of NYS Codes that were merged into the DPW line, and those Codes you listed are not included. But I have no written record of exactly what Chris and Bleu agreed to, so I can't be sure that the DA and DB expenditures were omitted from DPW.
It also occurs to me, are we sure that the NYS Codes you reference (A51201 (Bridges manpower); A51204 (Bridges contractual); B51321 (Garages manpower); B51322 (Garages equipment); B51324 (Garages contractual); B51401 (Brush manpower); B51402 (Brush equipment); and B51404 (Brush contractual)) were in fact used in 2011 and not added later when Susan Zimet tried to straighten out the budgeting?
I wish I could talk with Sally to verify my understanding of this, and we certainly want what we present to be accurate. Thanks for questioning this, and sorry that my information is incomplete, so far.

Ross: I'm trying to prepare a sheet comparing the Town 2013 budget with the info on the 11-6 sheet you prepared. This is so we can be better prepared to do breakouts of a 2015 Tn budget and Village budget without merging. Also in doing this added into the Town figures the amount raised for Fire Protection.
I've got everything just about fixed except that in the 11-6 spreadsheet you didn't identify the following Tn Budget areas as being in the summation of what Chris and Bleu did and yet they must have been. These areas are DAA51201 (Bridges manpower), DAA51204 (Bridges contractual), DBB51321 or22, or24( Garages). DBB51401,2,4(Brush).
Did you consider these costs in a different category?
Dave
